3rd EU-SOLARIS Doctoral Colloquium and 2nd EU-SOLARIS Summer School

Following the success of last year’s edition, EU-SOLARIS ERIC is pleased to announce the 3rd Doctoral Colloquium and the 2nd Summer School, to be held from October 19 to 23.

This event will be hosted by The Cyprus Institute (CYI).

The EU-SOLARIS ERIC Doctoral Colloquium is designed to bring together PhD candidates to exchange the latest advances in Concentrating Solar Thermal technologies and their applications, while also giving participants the chance to discover the facilities of the partner institutions.

The event offers doctoral candidates the opportunity to present their research to internationally recognized experts and to engage with fellow researchers working in related areas.

Registration Fees

There are no registration fees for participants in either the Doctoral Colloquium or the Summer School.

Available Spots & Prioritization

The event is primarily intended for attendees from SOLARIZE Consortium members.

Registration will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis.

If spots remain after the registration deadline, they will be offered in the following order:

  1. Attendees from EU-SOLARIS ERIC affiliated entities
  2. Attendees from other institutions

We encourage you to apply as soon as possible. If you do not have your abstract ready, you can still register now and submit the abstract later, before the submission deadline.

Target Audience
  • The Doctoral Colloquium is open to all PhD candidates researching concentrating solar thermal technologies and their applications.
  • The Summer School is open to researchers (both PhD candidates and senior scientists) interested in the topic “Solar Concentration Technologies and Hybridization”. Meet the Summer School invited speakers HERE. 
  • Both events are open to EU-SOLARIS members and associated entities.

  • Travel and accommodation costs are the responsibility of the participants. Please check the Accommodation section and the link to the Practical Guide, which includes information on the recommended hotel as well as other important details to help participants organise their trip.
  • Lunch and coffee breaks will be provided by the organizers.
