14:00 – 16:05 CET - Participation:
Free online via Microsoft Teams
This SOLARIZE Workshop on Condition Monitoring in Concentrating Solar Thermal (CST) Plants will gather experts from research and industry to highlight the role of monitoring systems in improving plant reliability, efficiency, and lifetime. To support the broader deployment of CST, advanced diagnostic and predictive tools—ranging from thermographic inspections to data-driven digital twins—are becoming essential for early fault detection operation and maintenance optimisation.
The event will review the current state of technologies and research initiatives, presenting ongoing developments in model-based monitoring, field measurements, and collaboration opportunities within European infrastructures.
A focused round-table session will encourage exchange between academia and industry to share perspectives and experiences on:
- The role of condition monitoring in reducing operation and maintenance costs
- Pathways toward standardisation and industrial implementation
- Future R&D needs for reliable, cost-effective, and sustainable CST operation
Participants will work to identify cooperation areas and define priorities for future European research, supporting cost reduction, higher availability, and the sustainable operation of CST plants.
